1. Our policy

We respect intellectual property and expect creators to do the same. Every upload is reviewed before it goes live, but review can't catch everything. If you believe an asset infringes your copyright, trademark or design right, tell us and we will act quickly.

Accounts that receive repeated valid notices are terminated.

2. Filing a notice

Use the takedown notice form, the Report a copyright issue link on any product page, or email dmca@honedassets.com. A valid notice includes:

• A link to the asset on Honed Assets.
• A description of, or link to, the original work you own.
• Your name, address, phone number and email.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

3. What happens next

We acknowledge notices within one business day, take the asset down while we investigate, and forward the notice to the creator. Buyers who downloaded the asset are notified and their licence for it is revoked if the claim is upheld.

4. Counter-notices

If you are a creator and believe a takedown was mistaken, send a counter-notice to dmca@honedassets.com with the asset link, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Unless the complainant files a court action within 10 business days, the asset is restored.

5. Misuse of this process

Knowingly filing a false notice or counter-notice is unlawful and can make you liable for damages. We may refuse to act on notices from parties who have filed false claims before.
