Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, downloading an asset or listing a product you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and the Licence Agreement. If you are using Honed Assets on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced by email and on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Honed Assets after that date means you accept the new Terms.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 to hold an account, or 18 to sell. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at security@honedassets.com if you think it has been compromised.

One person, one account. Team plans add seats to a single workspace rather than creating shared logins.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Pro and Team plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel from your account settings at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period and no partial refunds are given for unused time, except where the law requires it.

One-off purchases are final once the files have been downloaded. See our refund policy in the Help Centre for the situations where we will refund: files that are corrupt, materially different from the listing, or fail to download.

Prices are shown in your local currency where supported and include VAT or sales tax where we are required to collect it.

4. Licences to assets

Assets are licensed, not sold. Every download is governed by the Honed Assets Licence Agreement, which sets out what you can and cannot do with the files. In short: use them in as many of your own or your clients' projects as you like; never resell, share or redistribute the source files on their own.

Licences are perpetual. Cancelling a subscription does not revoke the licence for projects you completed while subscribed.

5. Selling on Honed Assets

By listing a product you confirm you own it, or hold every right needed to sell it, including rights to any fonts, photos or third-party elements it contains. You grant Honed Assets a non-exclusive licence to display, market and deliver the product to customers.

Creators receive 70% of net revenue attributed to their products. Subscription revenue is pooled monthly and split by weighted downloads; one-off sales pay 70% of the sale price after payment-processing fees. Payouts are made on the 1st of each month with no minimum balance.

We may remove listings that break these Terms, infringe someone's rights or fall below our quality bar. Repeated violations lead to shop suspension.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the library, or share your login to let others do so.
• Do not upload malware, obfuscated scripts or files designed to phone home.
• Do not use assets to create content that is hateful, defamatory or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Do not attempt to bypass licence checks, payment or download limits.

7. Liability

Honed Assets is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practical. Sections 4, 7 and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute will be heard in the courts of London, unless you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
