Creating a gig
Updated September 2026A gig is a service listing: custom work at a fixed price with a delivery time and a number of revision rounds. Buyers order it like a product, brief you on the order, and you deliver from your dashboard. No file is needed to publish.
Setting one up
- Go to New gig in your dashboard (or turn on This is a service on any product).
- Give it a title, a category, a cover and a description that says what the buyer gets and what you need from them.
- Price the packages. Each licence tier you enable becomes a package on the gig page: the cheapest shows as Basic, then Standard, then Premium. The licence terms still apply to the delivered work.
- Set the delivery time in days (counted from payment) and how many revision rounds are included.
- Publish. The gig gets its own page at /services/<id> and appears on Services and in browse with the Services filter.
Keep delivery times honest. An overdue job can be disputed at any time, and a cancelled or refunded job pays nothing.
Custom offers
When a buyer messages you, or posts a request, you can send a custom offer: a title, price, delivery days and revisions. If they accept, a private listing is created for that scope and they pay through Honed Assets; from there it is a normal job. Open offers can be withdrawn from the card.
Delivering a job and getting paid
Updated September 2026Every paid order of a gig lands in Jobs with the buyer's brief. You upload the deliverable there; the buyer downloads it from their order and accepts it, and the sale then counts towards your payout.
The flow
- The order arrives as Waiting for brief. The buyer writes the brief on their order page; you are emailed when it is in. You can message them from the order if you need more.
- Do the work. The due date is the delivery time counted from payment.
- Open the job, upload the files (one zip is easiest, up to 200 MB, stored privately for that buyer only), add a note and press Deliver.
- The buyer accepts, or asks for a revision if the gig includes one. A revision sends the job back to you with their notes; deliver again the same way.
- Accepted, or 3 days after a delivery with no answer, the job is Completed.
Payment
A service pays the standard 70% share, released only when the job is completed. It does not earn the 45-day launch bonus. Completed jobs appear in your balance and go out with the monthly payout like any sale.
Cancelled and disputed jobs
Updated September 2026Before you deliver, either side can cancel for a full refund and it does not count against your shop. After a delivery only support can refund, through a dispute.
Cancelling
If you cannot take a job on, open it in Jobs, say why in the note and press Cancel job and refund. The buyer gets the full price back and sees your note. A buyer can cancel the same way while nothing has been delivered.
Disputes
After a delivery the buyer can open a case within 14 days of the delivery (or at any time if the job is overdue and undelivered). Cases appear in Disputes in your dashboard; reply there with what you delivered against the brief. Support decides and can refund the line in full or in part, which cancels the job.
The brief, your delivery note and the message thread are what support reads. Keep the scope in writing.
