Zariantz Book — Editorial Modern Sans Variable Font

Overview

Zariantz Book — Editorial Variable Sans Serif for Clarity and Rhythm

Zariantz Book is a versatile sans serif variable typeface designed for clarity, precision, and expressive detail. Built around a calibrated, optically balanced “book” weight and expanded stance, it delivers a clean and contemporary voice suited for both literary print editorial and responsive digital publishing.

This release expands the Zariantz type system, first introduced with Zariantz Grotesk. Where Grotesk offered narrow, compact impact, Zariantz Book opens up letter proportions and spacing — bringing breathing room, fluid readability, and relaxed elegance to long-form reading environments.

The Editorial Advantage:

Equipped with an advanced OpenType toolkit, Zariantz Book is built for designers who handle complex typesetting:

• Balanced Proportion: Generous counters and stable baselines engineered for extended reading comfort.
• Full Angle Spectrum: Uprights, true Italics, and expressive Reversed Italics for creative typographic contrast.
• Arrow Suite: Integrated multidirectional arrows calibrated to match stem weights for editorial footnotes, infographics, and navigation.

Features & Specifications:

• 21 Static Styles: Calibrated weight range with matching standard and reversed italics
• Full Variable Font: Smooth weight and slant interpolation in a single file
• Glyph Count: 471 glyphs with broad European multilingual support
• OpenType Features: Old-style figures, case-sensitive punctuation, fractions with numerators/denominators (0–9), ligatures, and directional arrows

• Brand identity systems requiring a trustworthy, human-centered voice
